ITALL  BEGAN

Now I’m going to do something unusual. I’m going to tell you about a part of my life. However you will be surprised (and I too) as somehow my writings know how to narrate better than I the meaning, the reasons and the dreams that have inspired my path through life right from the beginning.  

In fact trying to explain the reasons which have led me to this point is always a little awkward, whatever they are, especially if driven by a deep wound that marks your adolescence, essentially a lack of affection.

I am fortunate to be tinged by a “strange disease” that afflicts me, that allows me to dream again, almost stopping me from become a “rational” person.

What I am talking about is tenacity and stubbornness.  Something that, if you’ve got it, that it’s. No more to be said.  

You had it yesterday, you have it today and you couldn’t consider living without it tomorrow…..It’s something I admit to having!!.

My name is Grazia Martorano. I was born in 2002, on 20th November, in Syracuse; my zodiac sign is Scorpio, I live in Cassibile, a hamlet of Syracuse, where I study and I am Italo-American.

My father Sebastiano is Italian and my mother Titty is American, which is why in 2015, I obtained dual citizenship.

Currently I am 1.65, my eyes are the colour of the sky on an August day and my hair is light brown. I don’t think I have a particularly great figure but consider myself average and I try to look after myself, always trying to avoid eating too much chocolate and sweets.

I go to a Linguistic high school and aim to continue on to university, to the Faculty of foreign languages and literature or modern Languages and Culture ….who knows??….but I will continue fully intending to graduate.

I don’t know where this road will lead me but wherever I arrive I will be satisfied and one day I will also be able to illustrate, perhaps to my children, how a baby ove time became a woman.

MY DREAMS

To date I can’t say I have many important dreams perhaps because I have one that hovers above me with its great importance, “the road of Youtuber“, without the pretensions of becoming a famous person, with the sole intention of being able to talk to and entertain people who need to see the face of a FRIEND who can keep them company, entering with my camera into their homes but also into their HEARTS and  making them smile during their sad moments.

MY SPORTS AND MY PASSIONS

Modern dance, hip hop, fit box, presenter, making videos, entertainment, loving and taking care of animals especially of Shih tzu dogs and Persian cats.

My philosophy in life is to not make do with everyday life but rather to fight to fulfil my dreams, not letting myself be swayed by the negativity that surrounds me, trying to be myself in any situation, above all carrying and respecting my ideas.

When I face my thoughts, misunderstandings with Friends, it is then that my adrenaline races. I’ll let you into a secret; I run into my library and read a passage from William Shakespeare and reading his words that I’ll quote below in full, I have found and find the strength to overcome these moments:

I am always happy and do you know why? Because I do not expect anything from anyone; waiting is always bad. Problems are not eternal and always have a solution. The only thing that has no solution is death. Do not let anyone offend or humiliate you. Never under any circumstances allow your self-esteem to be lowered. Shouting is the weapon of cowards, of those who are misguided. You will always find people who want to blame you for their failings but ultimately everyone will have what’s coming to them…. Enjoy life because it is very short; love it to the full and always be happy and smile, live your life intensely. And remember: before arguing, take a deep breath; before speaking, listen; before criticising, look at yourself; before writing, think; before  hurting, listen; before giving up, try; before dying LIVE!!”

I am convinced that with tenacity I can make my ideas and principles a reality, using those opportunities that are sometimes revealed from difficulties.
